Deutsche Bank has activated Swift's Instant Cash Reporting (ICR), a cutting-edge API solution enabling corporate clients to instantly access standardized account and balance information, reports Finextra. Through Swift’s centralised infrastructure, ICR allows real-time financial data retrieval via a single, secure connection using ISO 20022 standards and JSON formatting. Spain-based energy firm Iberdrola is the first to integrate the tool into its treasury operations.
Deutsche Bank’s adoption supports the growing demand for harmonised, multi-bank API solutions, making onboarding easier and data access faster. Johnny Grimes, Head of Corporate Cash Products at Deutsche Bank, highlighted that the ICR framework helps simplify implementation for corporates by standardising data exchange protocols.
ICR is now open to Swift-linked financial institutions and corporate entities, with Deutsche Bank encouraging broader industry participation to scale this interoperable solution.
