Hyundai, the automobile manufacturer, has introduced a new system that enables drivers in the United States to locate and make payments for various services through their vehicle's touchscreen, using securely stored credit card details, writes Finextra.

In collaboration with Parkopedia, Hyundai has launched the inaugural service of Hyundai Pay. This service empowers drivers to discover, reserve, and pay for parking at 6,000 different locations, all from the comfort of their vehicle, following an initial setup. This system will make its debut with the 2024 Hyundai Kona model, and it will subsequently become available in nine other models through model year updates or over-the-air software updates.

Olabisi Boyle, the Vice President of Product Planning and Mobility Strategy at Hyundai Motor North America, explained, "Through Hyundai Pay's adaptable e-commerce platform, we can enhance customer convenience and expand their digital capabilities by simplifying everyday tasks, such as finding and paying for parking. This will be achieved more efficiently, swiftly, and securely through our connected car, integrated cockpit, and secure transaction technology."
