Amid a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape, JPMorgan Chase is stepping up to guide its clients through global complexity with the launch of the JPMorgan Chase Center for Geopolitics (CfG), reports, reports Banking Dive. Announced Wednesday, the new advisory service leverages JPMorgan's extensive network, data-driven insights, and strategic expertise to help business leaders navigate an increasingly volatile world.

“In a time marked by intensifying global competition, economic unpredictability, technological disruption, and rising geopolitical crises, today's business leaders face unprecedented challenges,” said JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon. “The Center for Geopolitics will provide clients with strategic foresight, deep experience, and cutting-edge analysis to help them thrive in this fast-changing environment.”

Dimon, who recently described today’s geopolitical and economic climate as “the most perilous since World War II” in his annual shareholder letter, pointed to escalating tensions in Ukraine, the Middle East, and across U.S.-China relations as key areas of concern. He underscored the deep link between economic and security issues, cautioning that economic confrontation has historically led to military conflict.

The CfG’s mission is to empower JPMorgan’s clients to proactively respond to these challenges — from navigating AI’s geopolitical implications to understanding major power realignments. Its offerings include regular strategic reports and in-person and virtual events.

Leading the new initiative is Derek Chollet, a seasoned foreign policy expert and former high-ranking U.S. government adviser. Under his direction, the CfG will draw from JPMorgan’s internal talent and a prestigious network of global advisors, including Condoleezza Rice, Tony Blair, and Paul Ryan.

“We’re seeing, up close, how business leaders are rethinking strategy in response to geopolitical volatility,” Chollet noted. “Our aim is not just to interpret headlines but to analyze the seismic shifts behind them — and help clients prepare for what comes next.”

CfG's inaugural reports examine topics such as Middle East instability, global military buildup, and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war — offering what Chollet calls “a lens into the tectonic shifts reshaping our world.”
